It’s been a little while since we posted a new video of Rome, so here you go. Oh, I should probably clarify something: Peanut is the name of a stuffed animal that we got for the new baby and Rome is currently taking care of. Thus when I’m asking Rome “what does Peanut say?” I’m essentially asking “what does an elephant say?” It’s my favorite animal sound that Rome does.

Well, okay, so we’ve been here for about 3 weeks now, but I just haven’t taken the time to update, so here we go.
Despite the look on his face, Rome really is happy to be back in St. Louis. He’s been playin’ with his godbrother, Ben Estes, hangin’ out with mommy and even had a day at the zoo. He’s growing more, learning lot’s of words, and starting to form actual sentences. One of his newest phrases is “Oh my goodness!”
Kris is adjusting well to St. Louis again but isn’t so much enjoying the morning sickness that comes early in pregnancy. It’s kept her from getting things unpacked and settled like she’d like, but hopefully we’ll start making more progress soon. But, other than the morning sickness she’s doing well and we have our first doctor’s appointment this week. She’s also got a few children lined up for day care so we’re thankful for that.
I have started working again at my job in Information Services which is going well so far. I’ve also found a group of guys to ride bike with and it’s made it a lot more fun and challenging. We’re getting ready for a century ride (100 miles) in October. The most I’ve done so far is 50, so this should be fun. I’ve also registered for my fall classes and while I am looking forward to seeing old friends again and the opportunity to learn more, I’m not real excited about taking tests and writing papers.
Well, I think that about covers it for now. Oh yeah, I posted some new photos on the…you guessed it…photos page so feel free to check them out. We hope this finds you all well. God’s blessings!
